Sport In Colour is a community-driven initiative that champions inclusion, visibility, and belonging for LGBTQIA+ people in sport. Through creative, youth-led, and purpose-driven projects, we’re working to reshape sporting spaces into places where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.

Who we are

Sport In Colour is an initiative founded by Kalinda Robinson, a former elite athlete and inclusion advocate, with the support of the International Olympic Committee’s Young Leaders Program of which Kalinda is a part of from 2025-2028.

Driven by lived experience and a passion for equity, Kalinda created Sport In Colour to improve access, visibility, and safety for LGBTQIA+ people in sport.

Our mission is to build a sporting culture where everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexuality, feels they belong. Through community, education, and empowerment, we’re creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can lead, play, and thrive.

Sport should be a place of pride. For all of us.

What We Hope to Do

Sport In Colour exists to make sport a more inclusive, safe, and empowering space for LGBTQIA+ people of all ages. We believe in the power of visibility, community, and opportunity. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated in sport.

We're starting with our Youth Ambassador Program, empowering young people to become leaders for change in their schools, clubs, and communities. As we grow, we’ll continue to build projects that create real impact - driven by lived experience, guided by inclusion, and grounded in action.
